 Who we are

PRAKSIS Business Coaching Center functions as a support center for the selected candidates offering training, coaching and consulting in order to help people materialize their entrepreneurial goals. The program provides comprehensive practical training and preparation so that the candidate will be able to compose a conclusive business plan, which will ensure in the best possible way the viability of his business.

The methodology used incorporates international trends in business models with the reality of the Greek market. More specifically, the BCC supports participants by offering training, development of personal skills (coaching) and advisory (consulting), to help them reach their business goals and create a small business.

Participants are selected through a rigorous process, which is designed to ensure:
• The viability of the business idea
• The social and economic impact of the business idea
• The persistence and determination exhibited by the individual at the prospect of becoming a freelancer

For the time period from August 2016 to January 2018 the Praksis Business Coaching Center is funded by the Citi Foundation.

With a skill development program based on the individual needs of each participant, the ultimate goal is to start or restart a small or medium enterprise.

One up Crowd funding platform

One-up is a crowd funding platform where young entrepreneurs can upload their campaigns and ask donations from the public in order to gain access to seed capital. Based on the idea, “small amounts from many donors”, donations begin from 5 euros.

One-up is a PRAKSIS BCC tool created to fulfil the need that young entrepreneurs have to access capital in order to start their business off. NGO PRAKSIS gathers the money and is responsible to proportionately administer it to the beneficiary campaign holder, in line with the investment plan he/she has provided. This way, and with no commission added, we make sure that the money offered by the donors facilitates the exact purpose for which it has been gathered, until the last euro.

One-up is running since December 2015, and until today (* August 2016) has hosted 13 business campaigns and has attracted 7,315 donors from Greece, the USA, the UK, Germany, Cyprus, The Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and France.

Terms of participation:

All BCC alumni can participate in One up, so long as they have successfully concluded a viable business plan, as well as any other entrepreneur that has provided PRAKSIS BCC with a comprehensive business plan that has been evaluated by the BCC team as realistic and viable.

Equivalent training is part of stage 4 – Sources of financing of the BCC Business Methodology. For more information on the 4 BCC Stages of Business Development click here.
