praksis roche logo PRAKSIS and ROCHE Hellas launch the 2-year program «Εφόδια Ζωής, Βήματα Ζωής» ("Efodia zois, Vimata zois"), providing support to the educational needs of more than 400 children. The program targets those families suffering from the results of the severe economic crisis and covers among others:
• The tuition fees for foreign languages and reinforced learning.
• The tutorial books.
• The fees for language certification.
• The student expenses for students admitted in universities far from the parental houses.
• Other educational needs.
Meanwhile, the children of the program have the opportunity to participate in creative and innovative activities and collective initiatives, primarily of educational purpose. More specifically, the cultural scheme of the program includes:
• "Lending Libraries" which provide direct access to knowledge both for the children and the families of the program.
• "Reading Nights" where famous authors supporting PRAKSIS read their favorite children's books, bringing children into the magical world of joy and fairytale.
• "Cultural Blooming" that provides integrated children with the chance to visit museums and other cultural and educational sites. The program is an innovative cultural scheme offering tailor made workshops and activities.
Finally, during the implementation phase Roche employees have the opportunity to offer their volunteering services by devoting at least two hours per month, while in house collections of valuable items (like medicines, clothes, food) are being organized throughout the year, offering substantial support to the ongoing needs of PRAKSIS.
